DIGGIT Advertising Awards

For the second year in a row, Chemets has created the DIGGT Advertising Awards, presented at the eponymous digital communications and trends conference. These statuettes, produced in collaboration with the Innovatif agency, symbolise excellence in digital communication. The project required meticulous execution and the choice of the right technology to ensure quality and visual appeal.

About the project:

DIGGIT is an annual conference that brings together experts in digital communications and trends. Each year, winners in different categories receive this unique statuette, which not only symbolises recognition for their efforts but also reflects innovation and creativity – key values that we at Chemets incorporate into every step of the production of these awards.

Development and implementation:

For the creation of the DIGGIT statue, we worked with Innovatif, who provided a 3D drawing and specific requirements regarding the appearance, surface and size of the statue, which measures approximately 25 cm. As the sense of weight is crucial to the perception of the value of the statue, we were looking for a design that would satisfy all the necessary characteristics while remaining affordable. The client requested a black and gold finish, which further emphasised the elegance and importance of the product.

Choice of technology

Initially, we considered using colour 3D printing on an HP printer (we are the only company in Slovenia and the Adriatic region to offer such a service), but this option did not meet all the client’s requirements, especially in terms of the visual look and feel of the material. Due to these limitations, we decided to use vacuum casting technology. We printed the first piece using the technology we used, and then we made a mould for vacuum casting, which allowed us to cast a material that imitated stone. This gave us the prestigious look we wanted. In addition, this process also allows us to quickly produce new statuettes as and when required, which is a great advantage for our customers, as there is no need to maintain stock and pre-order products.

Conclusion

The DIGGIT conference statuette project was an outstanding example of how the right technology and collaboration with the client lead to products that not only meet all the technical and aesthetic requirements, but also symbolise the client’s values. At Chemets, we are proud to contribute our knowledge and technologies to the success of such events and at the same time underline the importance of continuous innovation and adaptation to the market.
