At Chemets, we designed and produced a unique cemetery plaque called "Marjetica," symbolizing a lasting memory of our client’s late mother. Preparing to move abroad, the client sought a solution that required no regular maintenance yet retained a personal touch and a lasting tribute to their loved one.
Development and implementation:

The “Marjetica” plaque was designed and produced using advanced 3D sand printing technology, allowing us to create intricate details and textures that mimic natural materials. The final product was impregnated and subsequently finished with a coating. This process ensures long-lasting durability and resistance to weather conditions, which is crucial for preserving aesthetics and functionality in a cemetery setting.

Key Goals
  • Sustainability: use of materials resistant to harsh weather.
  • Minimal Maintenance: a solution requiring no upkeep, such as landscaping or other care.
  • Fast Production: from concept to installation, the entire process was completed in less than a week, allowing the client to relocate abroad worry-free.
  • Unique Design: the plaque’s daisy-inspired design symbolizes the client’s personal tribute to their late mother.
  • Affordability: the project was tailored to the client’s budget, ensuring an optimal balance between quality and cost.
Choice of technology

For this project, we utilized 3D sand printing, enabling the creation of complex shapes and textures that are visually appealing and convincing. This technology was essential for the swift realization of the project and achieving a high level of detail in the final plaque.
