Trade Show Exhibits for Bird Buddy

At Chemets, we had the opportunity to create extensive trade show exhibits for the remarkable company Bird Buddy. The project was challenging due to the extremely short timeline – less than three weeks from planning to execution. The manufacturing did not allow for errors as it required the assembly of various parts to fit together seamlessly like "Lego blocks," considering the shrinkages from the four different technologies used.
Development and Execution:

Our first step involved a careful analysis of dimensions, shrinkages, and properties of each technology to ensure that all parts precisely assembled like blocks. Despite the time constraints, we also considered the designer’s requirements regarding colors and surface textures. Speed, accuracy, and flexibility were crucial in this project. With excellent communication and the client’s trust in our choice of technologies, we successfully delivered flawless exhibits – on time and meeting all requirements.

Technology Adaptation:

Due to the short timeline, we chose four 3D technologies that enabled the production of high-quality exhibits:

  • Vacuum Casting for larger components,
  • SLA 3D Printing for smooth and aesthetically finished pieces,
  • Voxeljet 3D Printing for rough and structured elements,
  • FDM 3D Printing for parts designed just two days before shipping.

All 3D printed parts were then processed and painted in precisely defined shades according to the RAL color chart.

Goals and Achievements

The main goals of the project were to ensure fast and efficient production of the exhibits and timely delivery to the trade show in Las Vegas while meeting all aesthetic and functional requirements of the client. Despite the challenges associated with time constraints and technical requirements, we managed to achieve all set goals, as evidenced by the flawlessly manufactured and timely delivered exhibits.

Conclusion

Working on the project for Bird Buddy was both challenging and highly rewarding. We are proud to have been able to use our knowledge and capabilities to assist the client in preparing for an important trade show. Projects like this constantly remind us of the importance of being flexible and innovative. Thanks to the effort and dedication of our entire team, we were able to ensure that our part of the project was successfully completed. Bird Buddy is now successfully running a media campaign.
